Founded in 1998 by William Kgabo, Tshepong Centre has grown into a registered NPO making lasting impact across three communities in eastern Tshwane.
Every person with a disability deserves to live with dignity, access to care, and a place of belonging in their community. That belief has guided Tshepong Centre since its founding in 1998.
William Kgabo established Tshepong Centre in 1998 after witnessing the lack of support services for persons with disabilities in Refiloe and the surrounding communities. His vision was straightforward: create a place of belonging, care, and opportunity — a true Tshepong.
Over more than 25 years, that vision has grown into a registered NPO serving three communities, operating 8+ programs, and building partnerships with organisations from across South Africa and the world.
Tshepong Centre is a fully registered NPO and PBO, compliant with South African law including POPIA. We publish annual reports and welcome donor and government scrutiny.
